The on-line Faculty Handbook provides basic information for faculty and is intended to be a general summary of university policies, guidelines and resources. It should be used as a reference guide to orient faculty to the Health Science Center and also direct faculty to more detailed sources of information. It is not the purpose of the Faculty Handbook to serve as a manual of administrative or departmental procedures. Questions concerning specific issues should be addressed to the department administrator, school/college, human resources representative, or appropriate area.
The on-line Faculty Handbook was updated from the existing handbook through a collaborative effort from department administrators, Council of Deans, Academic Affairs Strategic Thinking Council, Faculty Reward and Retention Committee, Office of Faculty Affairs, the Chief of Staff, and the Provost and Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs.
