Cassie Jo Ardry, M.S, CCSP

Assistant Director, Career Readiness Center

Cassie Jo Ardry, M.S., CCSP, serves as the Assistant Director of the Career Readiness Center. She has over 10 years of experience in various facets of higher education administration and student support services and has been at UNTHSC since October 2020. In her current role, she assists in overseeing the general operations of the Center, including the Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) processes for medical students applying to residency, and contributes to student career development initiatives and advising for students in Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Medical school and Health and Lifestyle Sciences. Cassie Jo’s interests lie in personal and organizational development and leadership and being Brené Brown’s biggest fan girl. Prior to the draw of higher education, Cassie Jo served in several capacities in the Finance sector for over a decade. Cassie Jo has served at Tarleton State University in Advising and Academic Affairs, Tarrant County College as a Career and Technical Education Academic Advisor for Health Care Profession students and still serves as an adjunct instructor at the Trinity River Campus. Cassie Jo is a keynote and training professional who will be presenting nationally on her work on the importance of social media in networking and research during Covid for medical students and residency programs. Cassie Jo holds a Master of Science degree in Management and Leadership from Tarleton State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in General Business and Psychology also from Tarleton State University. Cassie Jo holds the distinction of Nationally Certified Career Services Provider through the National Career Development Association. Cassie Jo is currently in the process of pursuing her Doctor of Strategic Leadership (DSL) from Liberty University. Cassie Jo is a servant leader who currently serves as a Champion for Girl’s Inc. of Tarrant County and serves other local organizations and volunteers with her church. Cassie Jo also serves on numerous professional and civic boards and committees including the Metroplex Area Consortium of Career Centers, National Counsel on Residency Placement, AACOM Military/HPSP Advisor Interest Group, Diversity and Equity Counsel at Tarrant County College and is an Engagement Champion for UNTHSC. In her time of leisure, she is an avid Estate Fanatic and a DYI’er  home renovation guru with her husband.

Nyjah Lane

Nyjah Lane, M.S has a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a Master of Science in College Student Affairs. Her time at Eastern Illinois University was marked by multifaceted engagement as she balanced the rigors of academia with extracurricular involvement. As a student-athlete, resident assistant, NPHC President, and joined Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Nyjah embodied the spirit of leadership, service, and community engagement.

Following her undergraduate studies, Nyjah embarked on a career in admissions as an Admissions Counselor, where she honed her skills in student outreach and support. Nyjah is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Higher Education and Administration at the University of North Texas.

Presently, Nyjah  holds the role of Career Consultant. In this capacity, she works to equip students with the tools and resources necessary for professional development, empowering them to navigate their career pathways with confidence and competence.
