UNTHSC at Relay For Life of Fort Worth

The Institute for Cancer Research (ICR) has been involved with the American Cancer Society signature activity fundraiser “Relay For Life of Fort Worth” since 2005.

We started with one team in 2005. Through the years we have added additional teams, some have continued and remain a part of the Relay For Life of Fort Worth while others have come and gone. The number of our team members also fluctuates. We have lost a few of our team members to the enemy but we have also continued to celebrate those who continue the fight and remember those we have lost. I for one
plan to continue the fight each year against this vicious disease that continues to take and ask too much.

We have had faculty, staff and student participate as team members, team captains and a few have even been part of the planning committee. If you would like to join one of the UNTHSC Relay For Life teams, be a volunteer or be part of the committee, please contact Jacklyn Crisp at Jacklyn.Crisp@unthsc.eduor 817-735-2131.

Together we can make a difference in the fight against Cancer! Let’s Finish the Fight!!

The UNTHSC Crusaders:
We started as the UNTHSC Team ICR in 2005 and through the years the name has evolved to the UNTHSC Crusaders. Our team members have consisted of several faculty members, students and staff. If you would like to join our team, check out our web page.

I personally have lost family members, friends and coworkers. I want to make sure that the word Cancer goes away and is a faint memory or night mare. Join with me in my fight. Join with me as I Celebrate those who are our Survivors and as we Remember those we have lost.

The UNTHSC Crusaders has also been part of the ACS “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” 5K. Look for information regarding both in the Daily News.
