Core Facilities

The University of North Texas Health Science Center has two open access, fee-free, Discovery Center laboratories which are available to provide shared laboratory space and supplemental instrumentation to researchers, clinical faculty and start-up companies enrolled in the UNT Health Science Center’s commercialization program.

  • Discovery Center – An open innovation initiative at the UNT Health Science Center

Also available to investigators on a fee-for-service basis are a number of state-of-the-art Research Core Facilities. Core facilities are managed individually by the specific Core Administrator.

Core Facilities use the iLab facility management platform to streamline the process of scheduling core equipment use, requesting core services, and billing for use and services. If you do not have a current profile in the iLab, please register for one by clicking here.

Electronic Resources

Electronic Laboratory Notebook – The Research Office has acquired a license for the Electronic Laboratory Notebook platform LabArchives. This will provide HSC labs a secure and easily accessible means for managing their research projects and data.

Computing Resources

HSC researchers have access to UNT’s North Texas Scientific Computing facility. The NTSC promotes the efficient use of a scientific-computing continuum — capabilities from PC to petascale — to help solve complex challenges in science and society.
