Financial Systems
The Department of Financial Systems serves the University of North Texas Health Science Center (HSC) by providing and maintaining first-class technology solutions that will enhance and facilitate the decision-making and planning necessary to optimize the financial strength of the University.
Services
- Oversees budget systems used to create the HSC Annual Operating Budget.
- Represents HSC when working with other planning systems used within UNT System (UNTS) such as PeopleSoft and Cognos.
- Acts as the primary HSC support contact for Axiom and Enterprise Information System (EIS) Financials.
- Develops framework for meeting various Institutional, UNTS, State and Federal reporting requirements.
- Builds and maintains a repository of operation and analytical reports that combine financial, HR and payroll data, and data from various non-system sources.
- Collaborates with various University of North Texas and UNTS officers as Business Subject Matter Experts regarding budget and finance systems.
- Maintains cooperative working relationships with the following:
- Texas Legislative Budget Board
- Governor’s Office of Budget and Planning
- UNT System Finance Office
- Texas State Auditor’s Office
