Office of the Controller
The Office of the Controller within the University of North Texas Health Science Center (HSC) works in close relationship with the University of North Texas System (UNTS) to maintain sound financial records and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) as well as Federal and State regulations. This team is committed to serving HSC by providing transparent financial reporting, engaging in cross-departmental training of financial stewardship, and proactively seeking optimal process innovation.
Services
- Maintains the system of accounts in Enterprise Information System (EIS)
- Monitors and reconciles all institutional bank and State appropriation accounts
- Provides mandatory annual reports to various State and Federal agencies
- Provides external entities with financial information
- Provides institutional management with miscellaneous financial reports
