What attracted you to the HSC?

The opportunity to support students at a unique and exciting time period of their life is what attracted me to the HSC. At HSC, we have students with a variety of ambitions, goals, and dreams that Student Services gets to come alongside of to support and see come into fruition that I thought would be very exciting to be a part of, and it has been just that!

What is your team like?

The Center for Student Life Team is a close-knit group of different people who all like to work hard and play hard. We have a few different functions within one office but we all support one another eagerly in order to see each of our efforts succeed.

What is the most unique part about working here?

I think the most unique part about working at the HSC is the collaborative atmosphere. Although our Division has a wide range of services and each of our Colleges differ, there is a common understanding campus wide that we are all like one of our values reminds us of, “Better Together.” I think that there is a willingness to collaborate across the division and the campus to see students flourish.

How have you grown professionally while working at the HSC?

I was brand new to higher education when I started at the HSC so I have grown professionally in general by learning more about higher education and how to equip others in the future when they are new to this world. I have also grown professionally by being inspired by others to pursue higher education myself, I hope to start pursuing my Masters in 2024!

What are three words that describe your typical day?

Supported, Welcomed, Rewarding
