Employee Resource Groups

The Division of Student Affairs supports several Employee Resource Groups (ERG’s) to help DSA team members create a sense of belonging and provide a platform where their collective voices can be captured. Please see below for more information about how you can join or establish an ERG!

What are Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)?

Employee Resource Groups are voluntary, employee-led groups whose aim is to foster a sense of community and belonging amongst DSA staff members.

Groups are led and participated in by employees who share a similar characteristic. Some examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Gender identity (groups focused on women)
  • Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC)
  • Interfaith
  • LGBT+ identities
  • Working parents

Employee Resource Groups

The following employee resource groups have been created by team members and are supported by the Division of Student Affairs.

  • Black Professional Network
  • Hispanic/Latinx Professional Network
  • Black Women Professional Network

Why are ERGs important?


  • Help foster an inclusive environment
  • Enhance the employee experience
  • Promote cultural awareness
  • Improve organizational innovation
  • Who can participate?
  • Any full time DSA employee!

What is the time commitment?

ERG’s are a voluntary resource and commitment will vary based off of your availability and the proposed activities of the ERG you join.


ERG’s will have access to funding in order to help amplify their group’s efforts in the division and throughout campus.
