Professional Attire Clothing Closet

• All items are free to take, with no expectation that they will be returned. There are also no eligibility requirements for students to utilize the clothing closet as a resource. If you need it, take it.  
• A maximum of two students can be in the clothing closet at the same time.  
• Students may take up to six items per visit.  
• Upon taking any items, please scan the QR code to access our check-out form. When filling out the form, please indicate the date, the academic program you are in, the number of items you took, what type of items, and provide any optional feedback. This form is completely anonymous; However, the data collected in the form helps us ensure that the clothing closet meets all student needs.  
• There is no time limit for your visit. However, please be mindful of the time you spend in the closet if there are other students waiting.  
• Please leave the Clothing Closet as you found it. Do not leave clothes on the ground. If you tried something on and ended up not taking it, please hang it back up and put it in the correct place.  
• It is not required that a SARC Team member be present with you while you are in the Clothing Closet. However, if you would like one of us to assist you, please send us an email at SARC@unthsc.edu.  

If you would like a SARC Team Member to assist you in the clothing closet, please send an email to SARC@unthsc.edu to schedule an appointment.

• Scheduled appointments are 30 minutes long, and any tardiness will not result in additional time added to the appointment.
• Students may take up to six items per visit.
• All items are free for students to take, with no expectation for return.

Donations for the Professional Clothing Closet can only be accepted via drop-off appointments.  Inventory changes periodically, and our storage space is limited.

Donation Process  

• To ensure that donations are processed and safely distributed, please do not place donations directly on closet racks, mix them with our current inventory, or leave them in our food pantry donation area. Please coordinate beforehand with a SARC Team Member. If you cannot contact anyone on the SARC Team, please visit the front lobby desk in the Student Service Center.  
• If you are donating a large volume of items or if you’d like to coordinate a large/group donation, please email us in advance at SARC@unthsc.edu.  

Donation Items That We Do Accept  

We accept gently used, clean, and professional clothing items that are ready to wear. This includes: 

• Business casual & business professional attire 
• Scrubs (clean and in good condition) 
• Lab coats 
• Belts, ties, shoes, and other professional accessories 
• New undergarments and socks (in original packaging only) 

Donation Items That We Do Not Accept  

To maintain hygiene and meet student needs, we cannot accept: 

• Casual or everyday clothing (e.g., t-shirts, jeans, pajamas, hoodies) 
• Stained, damaged, or dirty items 
• Undergarments or socks that are not new and packaged 
• Used shoes in poor condition 
• Children’s clothing, household items, or furniture 
• Clothing was dropped off without being sorted or communicated

• Women’s Shoes
• Women’s Blazers and/or Suit Jackets
• Men’s Dress Pants
• Women’s Scrubs
• Belts
