TimelyCare

Students at The University of North Texas Health Science Center have FREE, 24/7 access to virtual care services with TimelyCare. Students do not need insurance to access TimelyCare services. Download the app here (Apple/Google Play). As part of HSC’s partnership with TimelyCare, students have access to

    • TalkNow – 24/7, on-demand emotional support.
    • Scheduled Counseling – Select the day, time and mental health provider of your choice. (nine visits per academic year)
    • Psychiatry – Advanced mental health care, available upon referral from TimelyCare counselors or HSC Student Health. (Note – the Student Health Clinic also will continue to provide psychiatry services.)
    • Self-Care Content – 24/7 access to self-care tools and resources, such as meditation and yoga sessions, helpful videos and short articles from experts.

Visit www.timelycare.com/unthsc or download the TimelyCare app (Apple/Google Play) from your app store, and register with your school email address. You can then start visits from any web-enabled device – smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop – anywhere in the United States.

HSC Student Health Clinic

The HSC Student Health Clinic provides counseling and psychiatry services.

  • Appointments can be scheduled over the phone at 817-735-5051
  • The Student Health Clinic is located on the first floor of the Interdisciplinary Research & Education Building (IREB)

Find a Psychiatrist

To find a Psychiatrist who is covered under the HSC Student Health Insurance: United Health Care, and one who is located in your area, please follow these instructions:

  1. Go to uhcsr.com
  2. In the “Search”box located on the top right, type in: University of North Texas and click “Search”
  3. The search will pull up the link for “Univ. of North Texas System”listed under “Find My School’s Plan.”
  4. Click on “Univ. of North Texas System”  This should pull up the Univ. of North Texas System page.
  5. Click on “United Behavioral Health”under “Search for Provider” on the UNT  System page.
  6. From here, you can narrow your search for Psychiatrists by city, zip code, and/or clinician name. You can also specify preferences on your doctor’s gender, ethnicity, and areas of expertise.
