On behalf of the faculty and staff of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, I welcome you to our website. Our primary focus is to provide superior general medical and subspecialty care in a clinical and academic environment.

The department is comprised of a family of divisions, organized to establish continuity of medical care and to create a medical home for our patients.  Our division within the Internal Medicine department include: General Internal Medicine, providing Primary Care, and a Hospitalist Team providing care in our local area hospitals. Our sub-specialty divisions include: Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Infectious Disease, Rheumatology, Cardiology (General and Subspecialty), Neurology and Geriatrics. Many of our faculty members are regionally and nationally renowned with leadership positions in national and international medical societies.

The Department of Internal Medicine’s academic goal is to provide primary teaching strategies and problem-based learning solutions for students, residents and fellows. Internal Medicine provides both classroom and clinical based experiences covering both inpatient and ambulatory care. Our goal is to prepare students, residents and fellows to assume roles as clinical practitioners, academic leaders and community advocates in all aspects of primary and subspecialty care.

We hope you enjoy your visit to our website.
