Teresa Wagner:
Teresa Wagner, DrPH, MS, CPH, RD/LD, CPPS, CHWI, DipACLM, CHWC
Director, UNTHSC Community Health Worker Training Center
Dr. Wagner has a passion for helping people navigate health care. Her research focuses on health literacy, the ability for people to obtain, read, understand and use healthcare information to make appropriate health decisions and follow instructions for treatment. Dr. Wagner is a registered dietitian and Doctor of Public Health holding certifications in Patient Safety, Lifestyle Medicine, Health Coaching and is a Certified Community Health Worker Instructor. Dr. Wagner recognizes that CHWs are the conduit to health literacy, patient safety, and public health for the communities they serve.

Bobbie Bratton:
Bobbie Bratton, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, CHWI
Instructor
Bobbie is a certified community health worker instructor and board-certified family nurse practitioner with 25 years of nursing experience and 19+ years of advanced practice. She has a diverse practice background including family practice, student health, occupational health, acute care, and surgery. Her goal in practice is to partner with patients providing guidance and leadership towards health decisions that are safe and promote improved quality of life. She sees CHWs as a part of that partnership in the community.

Frances is a certified community health worker instructor experienced Health System Manager for Primary and Hospital Systems, with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit organization and public health industry. Skilled in Nonprofit Organizations, Corporate and Social Responsibility, Diversity and Inclusion, International Relations, Cancer Control Strategies, Fundraising, Quality Improvement, and Leadership. Frances has a passion for teaching CHWs how to best meet the needs of the communities they serve.

Annabel Luna-Smith:
Annabel Luna-Smith, MS, CHW & CHWI
Instructor
Annabel is a certified community health worker instructor with a Master’s Degree in Lifestyle Health Sciences. She has spent over 15 years serving the community as a patient advocate, a care ambassador, and a community liaison. Her passion is to empower others with knowledge and tools that will allow them to thrive. She desires to do this with the community she serves and the CHWs she teaches. Annabel is purposeful in relationship building, creating strategic partnerships, and developing programs that benefit the community.
