Nearly four years since the release of its first episode, Innovate Fort Worth is celebrating its 100th episode.

The podcast — sponsored by The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth — was created to inspire and inform the local business community. Since launching, it has become a leading platform for in-depth discussions with industry leaders, innovators and trailblazers.

The podcast was created by HSC Next, the innovation wing of HSC, as a way to tell the stories of local innovations and the people behind them.

“Innovators and entrepreneurs in Fort Worth are breaking down barriers, and their stories needed to be shared,” said Cameron Cushman, Innovate Fort Worth host and assistant vice president of innovation and ecosystems for HSC Next. “Each person we’ve interviewed has not only shared their successes but also their failures, and that is so important for aspiring innovators to hear.”

Since the first episode, Cushman has interviewed founders, presidents and CEOs of companies, as well as community leaders, elected officials and resource partners who also foster innovation in Fort Worth.

“Innovation is an imperative part of our mission to create solutions for a healthier community,” said Dr. Sylvia Trent-Adams, president of HSC. “No one does that better than entrepreneurs and particularly those who have been featured on the Innovate Fort Worth podcast. There is so much innovation happening in our city and our region, and I love that our campus has an outlet to share the stories that need to be heard.”

To commemorate the milestone, the podcast welcomed John Goff, an entrepreneur and leader from Fort Worth, as a special guest. As the founder and CEO of Crescent Real Estate, Goff has played a pivotal role in shaping the city’s skyline and contributing to the city’s economic development. He is a prominent figure in the business world and is widely recognized for his commitment to fostering economic growth in Fort Worth.

Goff shared valuable insights into his experiences, challenges, triumphs and perspectives on the growth and potential of Fort Worth. The episode explores diverse facets of Goff’s career, encompassing his involvement in real estate and investment strategies, and the insights he gained from those experiences. Goff also discussed his innovative approaches to business, his vision for the future of Fort Worth, and the role he envisions for entrepreneurs and leaders in shaping the city’s destiny.

“Innovate Fort Worth has been a labor of love, and reaching our 100th episode is a testament to the incredible stories and insights shared by our guests,” Cushman said. “Having John Goff as our guest for this milestone episode is a true honor. His impact on Fort Worth’s business community is immeasurable, and I am excited for our listeners to hear his unique perspective.”

The 100th episode celebration extends beyond the podcast, as the team kicked off its annual series by interviewing the second cohort of the innovators behind the 10 Techstars Physical Health Fort Worth startups. They will follow that by celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week North Texas and start planning for new surprises in 2024.

Innovate Fort Worth invites the community to tune in to the 100th episode anywhere podcasts are streamed or on YouTube. The full list of podcast episodes can be accessed on HSCNext.com.
