When announcing her selection as the 2015 recipient of the prestigious HSC Vision Award, President Michael Williams said of Michele Reynolds, “She is the ultimate connector.  She is constantly thinking about who needs to know more about the Health Science Center and how to connect them in a meaningful way.”

Those connections have been critical to efforts to elevate Fort Worth’s understanding and appreciation of the HSC for more than a decade.

Always a champion for those who improve the health of her community, Michele’s passion for the Health Science Center is rooted in the exceptional care her father received from the HSC geriatrics team.  That passion has since been expressed as a volunteer whose service has always focused on connecting the university and community.  A recipient of the 2012 Mary E. Luibel Distinguished Service Award, Michele helped create and then chair the Healthy Aging Council, serve as co-chair (with husband, Fred) of the President’s Invitational Golf Tournament, join the UNTHSC Foundation’s Board of Directors (chairing it for four years), host education events in her home, and take an active role on numerous other advisory committees and events.

If the opportunity to promote the people and programs of the HSC comes knocking, Michele Reynolds savors every chance to open the door.

In concluding his remarks on her selection for the Vision Award, President Williams said, “Michele gives unselfishly of her time, talent, and resources to serve the Health Science Center.  In the process, she inspires others to do the same.”
