Personal Bio
Lyndee is a PhD student in the Maddux Lab. Her research focuses on the functional morphology of the human upper respiratory tract with an emphasis on the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis for investigating nasal airflow patterns. Her dissertation project specifically investigates the role of exercise and climatic conditions on nasal congestion and the subsequent impact on respiratory heat and moisture exchange. Lyndee’s research at UNTHSC is supported by an NIH training fellowship and research grants from the National Science Foundation and Leakey Foundation.
