Getting to Know You

School of Public Health faculty and staff recently visited the UNT Denton campus, to host breakfast and meet with undergraduate student advisors, sharing the exciting opportunities of the public health field. During a faculty panel discussion, the SPH discussed different ways that public health complements a range of studies and careers, such as medicine, economics, sociology, anthropology, mathematics, basic sciences, communications and more. Projections from the American Public Health Association (APHA) indicate that there will be an increased need for public health professionals over the next several decades, especially for public health nurses, epidemiologists, laboratory technicians and environmental health workers.
