UNTHSCA€AsAns new Physical Therapy program to begin Aug. 4

The Health Science Center’s new Physical Therapy (PT) program is scheduled to begin on Aug. 4 with a class of 25 to 30 students who will take part in orientation on July 30.

The new program is featured in the July 19 issue of the Fort Worth Business Press.

The PT program is part of UNTHSC’s School of Health Professions, which includes the Physician Assistant program along with the PT program. The 30-month program prepares students to practice as a doctor of Physical Therapy in one of today’s fastest growing health professions.

The new PT curriculum represents “an opportunity to put a more indelible handprint on a program and create something that we hope will help tens of thousands of people eventually in the state of Texas,” said Clayton Holmes, PT, EdD, chairman of the PT Department.
