Watch the Health Science Center campus grow

Building A is beginning to take shape on the Health Science Center campus on the corner of Camp Bowie Boulevard and Montgomery Street. A 200-foot crane is in place, now erecting the structural steel for the new 112,000-square-foot building.  Construction crews estimate this process will take approximately 10 weeks to complete.

Most of the underground utility work for the building is complete as is most of the slab-on-grade, or foundation. A live Web cam feed of the site is linked to the Campus Facility Update site.

Building A is part of the first phase of the Campus Master Plan developed by the Health Science Center after purchase of the former Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas. It will feature two 250-seat auditorium-style classrooms that can be joined into one 500-seat space; size-flexible conference and meeting facilities; a small café-style eating area; a large osteopathic manipulative medicine training room; and a new, state-of-the-art patient simulator training facility.
