UNT Health names new CFO

UNT Health, the physician group of the UNT Health Science Center, has named John A. Harman as associate vice president and chief financial officer, according to Randy Jones, vice president and chief administrative officer for the 152-member multi-specialty practice.

            Harman will be responsible for the administration of financial operations while providing assistance in the strategic planning for the physician group.

            A certified public accountant, Harman comes to UNT Health from West Virginia University Medical Corporationâ??s WVU Physicians of Charleston, where he was the executive vice president and chief operating officer.

            Harman also has extensive experience in corporate accounting, medical school finance and administration, internal audit and strategic marketing.

            He received his bachelor of business administration and master of business administration from East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, Tenn. Harmanâ??s professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Medical Group Management Association and Academic Practice Association and the National Association of College and University Business Officers.
