TCOM students continue to earn top COMLEX scores

Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) second-year medical students improved their scores over last year’s class on the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX) Level 1. TCOM students continue to score well above the national average performance in all specialty areas.

The three-part COMLEX series examination, the licensing exam for the osteopathic profession, is taken at the end of the second year of medical school, the third year of medical school and during residency, usually during the first or second year. Most TCOM students also sit for the United States Medical License Examination (USMLE), which is required of all students attending MD degree-granting schools.

COMLEX is administered by the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME).
