North Texas Chapter of Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation recognizes Monte Troutman, DO, with Heart and Soul Award

The North Texas Chapter of the Crohnâ??s and Colitis Foundation of America recognized Monte E. Troutman, DO, as its annual Heart and Soul Award winner for his work with the medical advisory committee. 

The award honors members of the medical community who put their â??heart and soulâ? into the organization through efforts in public and medical education, inflammatory bowel research, and fundraising.

Dr. Troutman is chair of the Department of Internal Medicine of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth.

He has been active with the Crohnâ??s and Colitis Foundation for more than 20 years and serves on the advisory board of the North Texas Chapter.
