DO Dash set for Oct. 13 on campus

This year’s DO Dash 5K and Kids 1 Mile Run is set for Saturday, Oct. 13. Organized by the TCOM Class of 2015, DO Dash benefits the Alliance for Children, a children’s advocacy center in Tarrant County dedicated to fighting child abuse. The center provides child-friendly centers where abused children and their families can receive evaluation, crisis intervention, evidence gathering, forensic interview, group counseling and case management services.

The event will feature a 5K walk/run through the Monticello/Arlington Heights area in Fort Worth, a children’s one-mile race, health fair and a silent auction after the race. Registration includes a Dri-Fit T-shirt and free breakfast from Blue Mesa.

The Kids 1-Mile Run starts at 8 a.m. at Haskell Avenue, and the 5k will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the same location.

The 5k registration fee is $20 until Oct. 8, when it increases to $25. The kids run registration fee is $15 in advance or $20 after Oct. 8.
