HSC School of Public Health volunteers worked with the local Habitat for Humanity in Fall 2021

Lives are touched in meaningful ways when hearts and hands come together to serve the community by giving back to others.

School of Public Health volunteers worked with the local Habitat for Humanity in Fall 2021 to help provide a new place to call home and a brighter future for an area family in need of stable, affordable Fort Worth housing.

SPH students, staff and faculty come together each semester on service projects benefitting the Tarrant County community. Habitat for Humanity is a regular partner.

Through this day of service, SPH volunteers worked alongside the future homeowners in Day 1 of their new build, helping to install walls, framing and siding from the foundation up. Students especially enjoyed being able to meet the family and share in their construction progress.

The SPH looks forward to joining with Habitat for Humanity again during Spring semester 2022 to be a part of helping other area families’ dreams come true.
