HSC and RAM to Provide Free Dental, Vision, and Medical Care in Fort Worth
The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth (HSC) and Remote Area Medical (RAM®), a major nonprofit provider of pop-up clinics delivering free, quality, dental, vision, and medical care to underserved and uninsured individuals, is bringing a free clinic to Fort Worth on Dec. 11-12.
HSC and Hillwood, a Perot Company, have teamed to host this event. The RAM pop-up clinic will help bring medical services to communities in need and is slated to be the largest RAM clinic of the year.
“HSC looks forward to partnering with RAM and Hillwood to provide free medical, dental, and vision care to residents in need,” said David Mansdoerfer, Special Assistant to the President at HSC. “We are actively looking for partners and volunteers – both clinical and non-clinical to support this effort. The free clinic will provide dental, vision, and medical services to patients on a first-come, first-served basis at Hillwood’s Aviator Way building located within Fort Worth’s Alliance corridor, located near Alliance Airport at 13901 Aviator Way, Fort Worth, 76177. All RAM services are free and no ID is required.

We are honored to support our community by partnering to bring these critical medical services to those who need it most.”
Services available at the RAM clinic include dental cleanings, dental fillings, dental extractions, dental x-rays, eye exams, glaucoma testing, eyeglass prescriptions, eyeglasses made on-site, women’s health exams, and general medical exams.

Due to time constraints, patients should be prepared to choose between DENTAL and VISION services. Medical services are offered to every patient attending the clinic.
The clinic parking lot will open no later than 12:01 a.m. (midnight) on Dec. 11. Ticket distribution typically begins no later than 3 a.m., and patients will be seen in numerical order according to their ticket number when clinic doors open at 6 a.m. This process will repeat on Dec. 12.
In some situations, such as inclement weather, volunteer cancellations, or other circumstances outside of RAM’s control, ticketing may occur earlier than 3 a.m. RAM encourages everyone who would like services, especially dental services, to arrive as early as possible.
In response to COVID-19, RAM has developed and incorporated new disinfecting and safety processes. All patients will be required to wear a face covering and must undergo a COVID-19 screening before entering the clinic. Guests and family members of patients will not be allowed to enter the building. New air flow, disinfecting processes and capacity limitations have also been put in place to ensure the safety of patients, volunteers and staff.
