This year’s topic for the symposium, conducted by UNT Health Science Center’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the ForHER Institute, will be new trends and controversies in women’s health care.

The symposium is open to physicians in Obstetrics and Gynecology, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other health professionals who have an interest in practical diagnostic and therapeutic information covering areas in women’s health care. It is co-sponsored by John Peter Smith Hospital.

Lectures and interactive discussions, including audiovisual slide presentations and videos, will be presented throughout the symposium by physicians in Obstetrics and Gynecology and by nationally known experts whose research is innovative on the women’s health issues being discussed.

Symposium participants will have an opportunity to improve their knowledge and understanding of the most current information in all facets of OB-GYN practice.  And they will be introduced to the diagnosis and treatment of current problems arising in their practices.

AOA Category 1A CME and AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM will be available for physicians participating in the symposium, as well as 21 contact hours for nurses.  Tuition is $535 for practicing physicians and $335 for nurses and other health professionals.
