D’Agostino participates in national Ebola webinar

Darrin D’Agostino, DO, Chair of Internal Medicine, participated Thursday in a national webinar focused on how health care organizations can better prepare to identify and prevent infections like the Ebola virus.

Dr. D’Agostino, one of four panelists, said the first Ebola infections in the United States demonstrated the need to better identify successful pathways to care for patients, meet infrastructure needs, distribute medications and educate the public.

The Texas Medical Institute of Technology High Performer Webinar attracted as many as 1,752 live participants and scored a 94 percent Net Promoter Score, a measure of participant satisfaction. TMIT is a medical research organization dedicated to accelerating performance solutions that save lives, save money and build value in communities.

During the Ebola infections, Dr. D’Agostino appeared as an expert on multiple North Texas news outlets – including multiple appearances on KTVT (Channel 11) and interviews on WFAA (Channel 8) and KDFW (Channel 4), and in the Star Telegram.
