Center for Older Adults
UNT Health Clinical Practice Group Center for Older Adults offers geriatrics training and education for students and residents, health care professionals, and older adults and caregivers, transforming the clinical training environment in order to improve geriatrics care and prepare today’s workforce to care for an aging population.
The Center for Older Adults offers on-campus, on-line, and community-based programs to train students, residents, healthcare professionals, nursing home staff, and family caregivers to work with patients over age 65. Working closely with UNT Health faculty and health providers, the education team partners with academic, primary care and community organizations to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to meet the health needs of older adults.
