Project ECHO

Project ECHO is a lifelong learning and guided practice model that both revolutionizes medical education and exponentially increases workforce capacity to provide best-practice specialty care and reduce health disparities. The heart of the ECHO model™ is its hub-and-spoke knowledge-sharing networks, led by expert teams who use multi-point videoconferencing to conduct virtual clinics with community providers. In this way, primary care doctors, nurses, and other clinicians learn to provide excellent specialty care to patients in their own communities.

Infection Control Advocate and Resident Education (ICARE) provides online training curricula for nursing home residents, staff, family members, and advocates to promote best practice strategies for infection control while respecting resident rights.

Geriatric Practice Leadership Institute (GPLI)

The Team-based GPLI is offered through the Health Science Center at Fort Worth and prepares teams of healthcare professionals to serve as transformational leaders in their institutions. Teams learn concepts to effectively lead and work in emerging health care environments for older adults and complete projects to implement interventions.
