UNT Health offers certified nurse-midwife services at Eagle Ranch

The certified nurse-midwives of UNT Health will begin accepting patients at the Eagle Ranch Family Medicine clinic in mid-November 2010.

Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNM) are licensed healthcare practitioners providing primary healthcare to women of childbearing age and are educated in the two disciplines of nursing and midwifery. They are certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board.

UNT Health, the physician practice group affiliated with the UNT Health Science Center, has offered CNM services at the Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital campus since 2005, where they are members of the medical/allied health staff. They have expanded their services to the Lake Worth area, prior to their availability at Eagle Ranch.

The certified nurse-midwives of Eagle Ranch Family Medicine include Kathleen Donaldson, CNM, MS; Tania Lopez, CNM, MS; Gloria Glidewell, CNM, MS; Candis Pannell, CNM, MS; Lindsay Kragle, CNM; and Summer Latta, CNM, DNP.

Health-care services provided by CNM include prenatal care, labor and delivery care, care after birth, gynecological exams, assistance with family planning decisions, preconception care, menopausal management and counseling in health maintenance and disease prevention.

Eagle Ranch Family Medicine is located at 7235 Boat Club Road in far northwest Fort Worth, near Saginaw. Appointments can be made by calling the Eagle Ranch Family Medicine clinic at 817-232-9877. For more information about the UNT Health CNM visit www.nurse-midwife.com.
