Marshall Named Top Doctoral Student in Social and Behavioral Sciences at UNT Health Science Center

Khyia Marshall, DrPH, was named the outstanding public health doctoral student in social and behavioral sciences at UNT Health Science Center.

Dr. Marshall received the award at the School of Public Healthâ??s annual awards banquet on May 5.

Dr. Marshall is a native of Carrollton. She is a graduate of Spelman College, holding a bachelor of arts degree in sociology and a master of public health degree from the health science center. She graduated with a doctorate of public health at spring commencement ceremonies.

Dr. Marshall also took second place in the public health poster competition at the 14th annual Research Appreciation Day in April at the health science center.
