DO Dash 2009
Get healthy, advance cardiovascular health in our community and support the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine — all before 9 am on a Saturday. Just run or walk the DO Dash on Oct. 24. Registration for the 8th annual 5k and 1k fun runs is open, and the public is invited to participate this year.
The race starts at 8 a.m. at the corner of Clifton and 7th Streets. The event includes a health fair and fall carnival, silent auction and awards for the race winners, in addition to a pre-race dinner on Friday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. in the Atrium of the EAD Building on campus.
Beneficiary
This year’s event, organized by the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine class of 2012, benefits the UNT Health Science Center’s Cardiovascular Research Institute (CRI). Founded in 1995, CRI promotes research, education, clinical practice and community outreach programs to prevent, diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease.
