5th Annual North Texas Health Forum addresses community alcohol abuse problems through public health

On April 19, the School of Public Health hosts the fifth annual North Texas Health Forum, co-sponsored by Tarrant County Challenge, Inc. Community participants and professionals interested in preventing and treating alcohol-related injuries and deaths are encouraged to attend.

Alexander Wagenaar, PhD, will discuss alcohol control policy issues in his keynote address at 6 p.m. Wagenaar is professor of health policy research at the University of Florida College of Medicine. (NOTE: Continuing Education credits will not be earned for attending.)

Sessions on MADD’s national and Texas legislative initiatives and how to maximize moments with drinkers as brief interventions for alcohol misuse also are scheduled.
