Associate Professor & Track Coordinator for the MSN in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Dr. Tracy Hicks is a dual-certified APRN in Family Practice and Psychiatric Mental Health. She earned her BSN from the University of Texas at Tyler, followed by a Master’s and Post-Master’s from the University of Texas at Arlington. In 2017, she received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University and completed an MBA from Texas Christian University in 2023. Dr. Hicks is certified in addictions, emotional intelligence and diversity and inclusion.
She is a Fellow of the International Academy of Addictions Nurses and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, holding memberships in numerous professional organizations. Dr. Hicks serves on several boards and committees, including the Texas Nurse Practitioners as President-Elect, the American Academy of HIV Medicine and recently completed two terms on the Texas Health and Human Services Behavioral Health Advisory Committee.
Dr. Hicks owns C-Trilogy Comprehensive Clinical Care, offering mental health, addiction and primary care services. She also founded the non-profit C-Trilogy Outreach in 2020, which has received SAMHSA grant funding planning, development, and implementation of a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center. She has provided mental health services to underserved populations, including correctional health. Her goal is to improve care for marginalized populations.
