Message from the Interim Dean
Thank you for your interest in the College of Health Professions.
The College of Health Professions was approved by the University of North Texas System Board of Regents on May 20, 2004 and subsequently approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board on July 8, 2004.
The College of Health Professions offers opportunities for a diverse student body to acquire the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to serve in the healthcare professions and to continue their development throughout their professional careers.
The College of Health Professions presently includes three academic departments: the Department of Physician Assistant Studies, the Department of Physical Therapy, and the Department of Personalized Health and Well-Being.
Careers in the health professions are among the most rewarding and needed health care professions. Individuals serving in these careers have challenging and satisfying careers while enjoying considerable flexibility in their choice of practice and working conditions. Classes in our programs include inter-professional experiences designed to prepare students to be contributing members of the healthcare team.
Additional information regarding our programs can be found on this website.
I look forward to the future of the College of Health Professions reaching its full potential within the vibrant new horizons at UNT Health.
Again, thank you for your interest in the College of Health Professions.
Sincerely,
Christa Lo, DHSc, PA-C
Interim Dean, College of Health Professions
