Auto Play Canvas Media Captions
If you use closed captioning on media in any Canvas course, there is now a setting that will auto-play closed captioning throughout your course (when captions are available). This eliminates the need to turn on closed captioning on each individual video. It is easy to turn on! Simply go to your Account in the Canvas Global Navigation (black bar on the left). Click Settings then scroll down to Feature Options. Close to the top of the list is “Auto Show Closed Captions.” Click the red x on the right, which will change it to a green check mark. Closed captions will now auto play!
Please note that this feature does not create captions. This feature works only on media that already contains closed captions.
