Alumni Email Hosting to End November 30th, 2020

For over 10 years HSC has provided continuous email access to graduating students as they transition to an alum.  Over time the number of hosted email accounts managed by HSC IT Services has grown to over 10,000 user accounts.  Earlier this year, to improve service capabilities and to reduce HSC management costs, HSC IT and UNT IT migrated all current student email services to systems managed by UNT IT Shared Services.  Many of the factors involved in that decision also make it no longer feasible for HSC to maintain this email access for our Alumni.  HSC will discontinue access to Alumni and Retiree email services on November 30th, 2020.  We know from usage statistics that most alumni and retirees have already sought other resources such as free services like Outlook.com and Gmail.com for their primary email accounts.  It is advised that remaining users of HSC alumni or retiree email take this time to move their mail to another service of their choosing.

On Dec. 1st, 2020, all access to the systems managing email for HSC alumni and retirees will be terminated.  All accounts existing on live.unthsc.edu, alum.unthsc.edu, alumni.unthsc.edu, and retire.unthsc.edu will be inaccessible and cease to respond to mail sent to these domains.  The HSC Helpdesk is available at 817-735-2192 or helpdesk@unthsc.edu and can assist with recommendations of how to move or copy mail from the system, but cannot move the mail for you.
