Health literacy is a product of the health literacy-related demands and complexities of the health care system. System changes are needed to align health care demands better with the public’s skills and abilities to ensure care and instructions are understood and actionable.

This module will address the characteristics of medications that are high-risk and how to mitigate those risks for older adult patients. 1 CE

This course introduces the National CLAS Standards, a framework of 15 action steps designed to promote health equity, improve care quality, and reduce disparities through culturally and linguistically appropriate services. Participants will gain essential knowledge to help meet growing regulatory and community demands for inclusive, patient-centered healthcare.
