Gruben’s nursing career spans 30 years and includes experience in critical care and trauma, coronary care, ambulatory care and school nursing. She served as a nurse educator for nearly 10 years in the BSN prelicensure education at Texas A&M University.  Gruben is a certified healthcare simulation educator (CHSE), a certified nurse educator (CNE) and earned her EdD in Instructional Leadership in Nursing Education from the University of Alabama.
