Cool Convenience: Core Labs Enhances Liquid Nitrogen Dewer Fill-Ups

Starting on November 1st, 2023, requests for liquid nitrogen dewer fill-ups will be channeled through the iLab service request platform overseen by Core Labs. This transition streamlines the process, eliminates paperwork, and enhances efficiency. Researchers can now request liquid nitrogen with a few clicks and reduce administrative burdens. Order tracking features provide transparency on the status of requests. Moreover, this shift towards a paperless workflow contributes to a more sustainable research environment. Core Labs will ensure that the pursuit of liquid nitrogen remains unhindered.

Histology adds new Tissue Processor

The Histology Core has recently enhanced its tissue processing capabilities by acquiring the Tissue-Tek VIP 6 AI Vacuum Infiltration Processor. The Tissue-Tek VIP 6 AI system leverages advanced infiltration techniques and vacuum technology to optimize and streamline the tissue processing workflow. With this tissue processor, the Core can achieve rapid and efficient tissue infiltration, ensuring uniform distribution of processing reagents throughout the sample. The vacuum infiltration process improves the penetration of reagents into the tissue, resulting in improved quality and consistency of the processed samples. This advanced technology also offers enhanced control over processing parameters, allowing for precise customization based on the specific tissue types and experimental requirements. HSC researchers can now benefit from improved tissue quality, accelerated processing times, and increased reproducibility while obtaining higher-quality tissue samples enabling more accurate and reliable downstream analyses.
