ANAB Accredited

The Center for Human Identification (CHI) has been ISO/IEC 17025 accredited since 2004, and is currently accredited by ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB). A copy of the accreditation certificate can be viewed below.

ANAB is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that provides accreditation services and training to public and private sector organizations. ANAB is the largest multi-disciplinary accreditation body in the western hemisphere, with more than 2,500 organizations accredited in approximately 80 countries.

ANAB provides accreditation services for CHI's Forensic and Missing Persons laboratories based on an assessment of the technical laboratory qualifications for conducting specific forensic testing within the scope of ISO/IEC 17025 and the FBI's Quality Assurance Standards. Being accredited assures the customer that CHI is compliant with the appropriate ISO and FBI QAS standards.

ANAB is a signatory of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) multilateral recognition arrangements.

CHI also maintains accreditation with the Texas Forensic Science Commission, and is in compliance with all licensing requirements for any analysts providing work in their accredited areas.
