Women’s Cardiovascular and Brain Health Symposium

The Department of Physiology and Anatomy at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is pleased to announce the inaugural Women’s Cardiovascular and Brain Health symposium to be held on Friday, February 22, 2019. The goal is to highlight recent advances in women’s cardiovascular and brain health research and to provide a platform for future collaborations among researchers with interest in this field of study. The symposium will feature presentations from leading experts (see below) and will offer an opportunity for students to present their work on relevant topics.

Jane Reckelhoff, PhD – Billy S. Guyton Distinguished Professor, Chair, Department of Cell and Molecular Biology, Director, Women’s Health Research Center, University of Mississippi Medical Center

Michael Nelson, PhD – Assistant Professor, Department of Kinesiology, University of Texas Arlington

Qi Fu, MD, PhD – Associate Professor, Department of Internal Medicine, UT Southwestern Medical Center
