Startup Weekend is a 54-hour event where attendees pitch business ideas, form teams around the top ideas, validate their market, develop a business plan, and finally present their business to a panel of judges. It is a great place for budding entrepreneurs to find co-founders, mentors, and momentum for their ideas as well as to learn and develop skills hands-on.
Startup Weekend is a great place to test ideas and turn them into companies. It is not geared towards existing research, products, devices or services that have already been created. The ideas presented at Startup Weekend should be NEW products or services that do not currently exist.
