Post-PhD Job Talk with Dr. Carmen H.Laborde: Research Careers in Military and Academia on 10/26/2017 at CBH 220, 3-5PM

Dr. Carmen Hinojosa-Laborde is a research scientist at the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR). Her current research focuses on the pathophysiology of hemmorage through which she contributes to the health care of U.S military members. Dr. Hinojosa-Laborde will be giving a talk on her research and will also be hosting a panel discussion afterwards to discuss scientific careers in the U.S military, including opportunities for international students.

Dr. Caroline Rickards, current GSBS physiology faculty, who conducted her post-doctoral fellowship at the USAISR will also be present as a panelist for the discussion to follow.
The event will be held on October 26, 2017 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM in CBH 220.
Hors d’ouevres and refreshments will be available for attendees at 3:00 PM; the presentations will begin at 3:30 PM.
