New Engagement Champions program

The new “HSC Engagement Champions Program” has been created through the Human Resource Office of Organizational Development & Engagement (ODE) in partnership with the Office of Culture and Experience. HSC Engagement Champions will be a community of HSC team members who can influence simple, conceptual engagement strategies and techniques to foster an engaging culture on our campus.

To apply, click this link. More details about the program are provided below.

The Engagement Champions Program will build and foster an engaging culture by:

  • Collecting internal best practices and sharing with leaders, managers and teams across HSC.
  • Providing ongoing support to supervisors, managers and other leaders through engagement education and training to help create and sustain engaged teams.
  • Directly supporting supervisors, managers and other leaders with promoting Gallup survey participation, reviewing results and helping with team action plans.

What’s required to be an official HSC Engagement Champion?

  • Willing to participate in this initiative for two years and dedicate one hour a month for meetings.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to HSC and our values.
  • Be a high performer with the desire and ability to influence and promote engagement within your department/team.
  • Employed with HSC for at least one year.
  • While having a supervisory position is not required to participate, you will need your direct supervisor’s support and approval.

Please refer to the campus email sent from the HSC News Office on July 22 for more information on program requirements and expectations of participants, schedule of meeting dates/times, etc.

Applications for the HSC Engagement Champions Program will be accepted August 2-August 20 and Champions will be announced on Tuesday, September 1.
