New Acting Dean for TCOM

Dear HSC Community,

I want to share with our campus that Dr. Frank Filipetto, dean of HSC’s Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, will take a health-related leave starting Thursday, March 28.

Dr. Lisa Nash will serve as the acting dean of TCOM until Dr. Filipetto returns. She is currently the senior associate dean for graduate medical education and a professor in TCOM’s Department of Family and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.

Dr. Nash brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this role, and I have full confidence in her ability to maintain the integrity and excellence of TCOM’s operations. No additional changes are anticipated, and Dr. Nash will work to maintain the continuity of organizational and operational functions within TCOM for faculty, staff and students.

I am very appreciative that Dr. Nash has agreed to step into this role. Please join me in thanking her and in sending Dr. Filipetto healing thoughts for a speedy recovery.

Sincerely,

Charles Taylor
Executive Vice President & Provost
