The forum will include tools to implement unassigned albuterol policies for respiratory distress at school and resources to improve asthma outcomes.
Presenters will include representatives from the American Lung Association, Texas School Nurse Organization, SaferCare Texas Asthma 411 at UNTHSC, and lead authors of the national recommendations for unassigned albuterol on K-12 campuses.
In addition, the forum will provide an interactive format to discuss barriers to implementing this element of school-based asthma services, current and new tools to support implementation, and building collaborations to support school health.
