The ITR Clinical Core consists of nearly 20,000 sq ft of newly renovated clinical research and office space and >20 full- and part-time employees, including faculty, a CRC-nurse, research scientists, promotora, research assistant, etc. The ITR Clinical Core manages the HABLE and ADPC studies, in addition to other projects.

The Clinical Core is responsible for outreach and participant recruitment needs of each study, monitors progress towards recruitment goals, and conducts all clinical research protocols. This research team has recruited over 5,000 adults and elders into community-based research and clinical projects over the last 5 years. Our outreach and recruitment activities reach over 50,000 people in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) region annually. The Clinical Core is directed by Leigh Johnson, PhD.
