Not everyone will receive a new parking permit in the mail this year. Why? Because of improved technology and sensitivity to the environment.
• Who WILL get a new parking permit:
Those who are changing where they park (from surface to garage, for instance). They will receive a new permit in the mail labeled with their new parking classification.
• Who WILL NOT get a new parking permit:
Those who are not changing where they park. The permits distributed last year were upgraded with RFID technology, and the Parking Office can renew them remotely. Therefore, there is no need to mail out a new permit, which helps with sustainability.
