Volunteers (ages 18-80) needed for blood pressure research study.

The University of North Texas Health Science Center and the Human Vascular Physiology Laboratory is currently recruiting volunteers (ages 18-80) to examine if an over-the-counter supplement called TUDCA may improve blood pressure and neurovascular function in humans with high blood pressure. We are recruiting up to 70 subjects (male and female) to take part in this research study.

You must be:

• 18-80 years old

• Generally healthy

• Not currently taking blood pressure medication

• Have not used tobacco/nicotine in the last 6 months (cigarettes, e-cigarettes, chewing tobacco, nicotine patch/gum)

Study Requirements:

• Visit Human Vascular Physiology Laboratory at UNTHSC for testing. Total laboratory time commitment is about 17 hours, with 8 weeks of daily TUDCA supplementation.

• Participation in this study is voluntary, and if you are a student or employee of UNTHSC your participation (or non-participation) in this study will in no way affect your academic standing or employment.

Subjects will be compensated for their time and effort.
