Tonight! Science on Tap: Ickfest features our experts for a spooky-fun Friday the 13th

Come to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History for this Halloween-themed event!

Some of our team members are scheduled to share their expertise:

  • BJ Spamer, Director, National Unidentified and Missing Persons System (NamUs), will speak on forensic DNA work and identification of victims of serial killer John Wayne Gacy.
  • Dr. Nancy Tierney, Director of Simulation; and Tony Martinez, simulation Specialist, will lead an activity making fake wounds and present a brief talk on use of simulations in the "real" world.
  • Cara Fisher, M.S., Instructor and Anatomist, will make a presentation on the Center for Anatomical Sciences and Willed Body Program and provide a hands-on experience with human specimens.

Enjoy music presented by a DJ, plus drinks and treats. Costumes are optional.
